The ‘Real Ale Appreciation Group’ meets monthly on changing days of the week to suit the venue. The locations are chosen because they have good beers, well kept, also offer food, and are recommended in the Good Pub Guide, the Good Beer Guide, or both. Because we don’t want to encourage drink-driving, all venues will be accessible by public transport, so we shall be ranging far and wide in our search for interesting pubs and micro-breweries. We generally try to arrange for the owner / brewer / landlord to tell us about the pub and its beers. We’ve started a tasty adventure and those who have been to the meetings so far have gone home satisfied – and sober.
