Exploring the Moral Maze
The purpose of the group is to provoke a lively debate on the moral issues of our time, on which most of us already hold a view. There will be the opportunity for everyone to have their say but can opinions be altered?
Typical subjects are:
Rationing the NHS
Should charity begin at home?
Turning a blind eye and the law
Three things to bear in mind:
1. order a drink on the way up, as that is the way we get the room for free
2. listen to what others have to say, so only one conversation at once, please
3. indicate if we wish to speak, to give everyone the chance to express their views
None of us wants the morning to be a free-for-all, so, to get the best out of it, it is important that everyone sticks to these simple principles, please.
These discussions will obviously be of a serious nature, but it is intended that it will be a sociable and, at times humorous, couple of hours.
Meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month 10.00am - 11.45am and held in the upstairs room at Rise coffee shop on Water Lane, Wilmslow where the coffee and cakes are very good.
A cracking way to let your views be known and get things off your chest!
Please note: There is a waiting list for this group, contact Beryl if you would like to be added to this.
